FASHION FIX: Dominika goes down in Moscow, but Lacoste style hits high

Diminutive Dominika Cibulkova, who was spotted getting double teamed in Red Square, had her trip to Moscow cut short (no pun intended, I swear!). The Slovak was bundled out of the tourney's quarterfinals today by Vera Zvonareva 7-5, 6-4.

I'm liking these new Lacoste duds Dominika is working here. The polka-dot graphic design on the polo adds some nice pop but I really love the skirt. The periwinkle blue is fresh, the striped waist band looks inspired by preppy grosgrain ribbon belts, and the front features functional pockets outlined with white piping.

Sporty, cute, and fun - everything you need in great tennis fashion.

  1. All tennis players should hope for a Lacoste sponsorship. They have the best stuff.

  2. I love their stuff - it's functional but always features some really cute detailing and colors. I wasn't feeling last year's "loungewear" moment for the lady ballers, though.

In any case, the gear never looks like traditional tennis clothing. The Frenchies do love their flair!

  3. Ohhh I love that skirt...I wish they would bring back the collared shirts though. Poppin' that collar on the court.

PS Vera is dropping the Slovaks like flies this week! I'm all about the career-renaissance :)

  4. erin: good point about her slaying of the slovaks this week. you know, i thought she was going to make a big statement earlier this year and picked her as a dark horse for Roland Garros.

I guess the slovaks are easier to slay than her mental demons...

  5. Really cute outfit! But, uh, what's that patch on her right arm?
